We are on day 44 of hunger striking. When will the British state respond?

These are the eight prisoners taking part in what is thought to be the biggest hunger strike in UK history since Irish republicans began refusing food in 1981. Tonight it has emerged that five of them have been taken to hospital. Two haven't eaten for nearly 39 days.
