v1.5.3 is out with support for creating tasks from emails! Every list gets a unique email address - send or forward an email to that address to create a task in that list, and view the email right in Godspeed!

@therealizzy No, smart lists can only be created and edited on desktop right now, but this is on our list to implement!

@yanayz Yeah, the web app is not intended to be usable on a mobile device. It's something we may add support for in the future, though

Version 1.8.23 is out with support for a new Duration field on tasks, in anticipation of our upcoming calendar integration. And one other big thing: today we're launching a public beta of our web app. With this you can now use Godspeed from Mac, Windows, and Linux!

@GodspeedTodoApp I love your app, but sometimes I forget to mark tasks as completed. Is there a way to complete them by specifying a past date/timestamp?

it says something that @GodspeedTodoApp has just sat open on my Mac for weeks without me interacting with it in any way... i wanna use it, but it's missing something that lures me in to investing my time and energy... 😔

@dbeyer123 The first version of it likely won't, but we can certainly add this in the future

@GodspeedTodoApp Will it be multi-line? The closer you can get to taskpaper's ability to interleave regular bullets / text with tasks...would be awesome. The only issue with notes as they are now is they often lack context. I have notes on a certain mini project e.g.,

@GodspeedTodoApp incredible product! Would love to see easier treatment of parent / child indented lists in smart searches. I use indentation for simpler org, but the parent is usually not actionable, so need to label it and exclude from searches.

@dbeyer123 This is on our list too, we get this one a lot. I already use Godspeed to keep all of my notes, but we'll add a special "note" or "bullet" type of task that isn't completable.

@GodspeedTodoApp Great. Appreciate all this. Sorry, the only thing I forgot to mention, and probably the most important, is the ability to have non-task elements (multi-line even), i.e., taskpaper or any other outliner. Would make it perfect so I can keep all the notes/context and what not.

@stevepeeleii Another favorite: each list in Godspeed has its own email address. Send or forward an email there and the email will show up in Godspeed as a task. In addition to task tracking, I actually now use this to read newsletters

@stevepeeleii Cool! The desktop app is where Godspeed really shines, especially if you're into hotkeys. One of my favorite features: hit ⌘O and Godspeed finds any links, emails, and phone numbers in a task and lets you quickly open or copy them
