Today’s #KUCancerFighter hero is Parker Studer, a 23-year-old from Wichita currently battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Parker is a lifelong Jayhawk fan who lists Wayne Selden as his favorite ‘Hawk of all-time. He credits his Grandpa with making him the KU fan he is today and got to share a special Allen Fieldhouse gameday with his Gpa earlier this year versus Oakland, a memory he says he’ll always cherish.
Parker got his diagnosis early last month and has attacked his cancer battle head on. He’s already halfway through his treatment regimen and his oncologists have applauded his progress & determined mindset throughout. He has some big PET scans coming up in a couple of weeks, but is hopeful for good news and aims to complete treatment in May.
