Pleased to host @ADBPresident Masato Kanda in Georgia. We discussed our strong cooperation and ADB’s engagement across key sectors of our economy, with a portfolio exceeding $5 billion. The opening of ADB’s new representative office in Tbilisi will further deepen our partnership and create new opportunities for investment and development.

Had a phone conversation with President Ilham Aliyev @presidentaz regarding the recent drone attack in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. I conveyed Georgia’s solidarity and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. We also reaffirmed the strong partnership between our countries and emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the region.

Delighted to co-chair the 15th 🇬🇪-🇦🇲 Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation together with PM @NikolPashinyan. With our respective delegations, we engaged in productive discussions on expanding economic cooperation and unlocking new opportunities to further deepen the strategic partnership.

Pleased to host H.E. Dunyagozel Akmuhammedovna Gulmanova, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, on her first official visit to Georgia. We discussed ways to elevate the 🇬🇪-🇹🇲 partnership and expand cooperation in key strategic areas, with a view to unlocking new opportunities for regional collaboration.

Our discussion focused on the positive momentum in 🇬🇪–🇷🇸 relations, reflected in regular high-level dialogue and growing sectoral cooperation, as well as opportunities to further advance cooperation across key areas of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of #WGS2026, met with H.E. Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, Secretary-General of @UNWTO. Tourism is a strategic pillar of 🇬🇪’s economic development, and we highly value our close partnership with the 🇺🇳 in shaping a sustainable, resilient, and globally competitive tourism sector.

At #WGS2026 in Dubai 🇦🇪, I joined the Future of Investment Roundtable to discuss how today’s geopolitical shifts and technological change are redefining global investment dynamics. I highlighted 🇬🇪’s strategic location, political stability, strong institutions, and highly competitive business environment as the basis for long-term economic development.

At the World Governments Summit in Dubai 🇦🇪, I am engaging with global leaders on the future of governance. Amid shifting geopolitics, Georgia as part of the Middle Corridor, is building a trade system resilient to shocks, open to growth, and anchored in strong international partnerships.

I extend my sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic train accident in Spain. Our thoughts are with the injured and with the Spanish people at this difficult time.

Held a highly interesting meeting with H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan @MohamedBinZayed, President of the 🇦🇪. Our discussions focused on further strengthening the Georgia–UAE partnership, with particular emphasis on strategic cooperation, investment, innovation, and sustainable development.

Participating in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 🇦🇪, a global forum on sustainability, clean energy, and innovation. Exploring opportunities for sustainable economic development and highlighting 🇬🇪’s potential as a regional hub for clean energy, transit, and innovation.

Had a warm phone conversation with President Ilham Aliyev @presidentaz. Congratulated him on his birthday and wished him good health and continued success. We reaffirmed the strong friendship and close relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan 🇬🇪🇦🇿

Georgia strongly condemns the antisemitic terrorist attack in Sydney targeting families from the Jewish community as they gathered to celebrate Hanukkah. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the victims and those injured, and stand in solidarity with the people and Government of Australia. Acts of antisemitism undermine our shared values and must be confronted firmly wherever they occur.
