As Kuwait celebrates its National Day, we look back on Secretary-General Shaikha Al Nuwais’s visit to Kuwait this past month for UN Tourism. During her time there, she discovered the wonders of Kuwait not only as Secretary-General but also through the eyes of a tourist.

The Middle East is shaping tourism’s next chapter. This past month, Member States gathered in Kuwait for the UN Tourism Regional Commission to align on diversification, innovation rooted in identity & AI that strengthens culture. A region moving with clarity & ambition.
