I recently heard that my dad’s friend has passed away.
What bothers me the most is that this Alhaji had 37 children.
Even when he was alive, the last time my dad and I visited him, I asked whether he could recognize all his children, since he barely stayed at home. He clearly told me he couldn’t recognize some of them.
The painful part is that he was very sick before he passed away, and he didn't leave any tangible resources.
Some of his children have already become Almajiri and barely come back home.

@maxvayshia I know someone who will disagree.
I helped him to buy his own, and he feels it is really helpful to him. At least, he doesn't have to bring out his phone to prevent damage during work - so he thought.

I still BLOCK but my BLOCK is strategic and there is why i have a lot blocked.
If someone on X drags me, i don’t MUTE/BLOCK immediately.
I always wait for his comment to gather more haters.
If there are 100 comments under his tweet or comments, i start my MUTING / BLOCKING all of them before i finally destroy the originator.
ONE OF THE BEST FEELINGS.
So when you are wondering how OKU blocked you, you don kiki under hater post.

@Greatihex @AdageorgeA If that woman was really disrespecting her husband, what makes you think she'll agree to sell her properties because he said so... 🤔

My aunt was a big tailor in ikoyi in 2008 , then she has over 20 people working under her and almost 20 apprentice.
So she met her husband in 2014, then he got married to her, he then ask her to leave her tailoring business...
He told her to sell everything she has .. she kept begging him ,the thing was causing a lot of issues, her parents told her to obey her husband...
Now in 2024 ,the husband drop her in the village with one butterfly machine and three children... Now he's back to lagos...
Many man feels that they are God ....

@Victorokeke_ It is well with us.
The problem is the education that was given in our schools.
The standard has fallen really low.
No creativity. People can't think of reasonable things.

The kind of intellectually subdued and socially trite conversations we engage in Nigeria tells a lot about our country's future trajectory.

Some Married men here are illiterates sorry to say this.
This man said he wants to withdraw his 4yrs old son and register him in another school cos when he speaks English to him he replies in Igbo, therefore that his child isn't intelligent.
You see the problem i have with ndị Igbo here
So if your child speaks his MOTHER TONGUE instead of English Language, he's unintelligent?

Media Framing of Crime Along Ethnic Lines: Divisive.
As an Igbo man, I have endured stereotypes, judgment, and labelling solely based on my ethnic origins. This is not an isolated Igbo experience. Most Nigerians have, at some point, been reduced to their ethnicity rather than recognised for their true character.
I understand the pain of the ordinary Fulani man today, often unfairly judged by the actions of criminals he does not support, has never met, and who are not representative of his people.
Even in America, such unjust labelling fueled the civil rights movement and prompted Martin Luther King Jr. to declare that people should be judged by the content of their character, not the colour of their skin.
Every Nigerian ethnic group is known for its unique traditions, occupations, skills, and strengths. Crime, however, has no ethnicity. A thief is a thief. A terrorist is a terrorist. A kidnapper is a kidnapper. They are bad actors, not representatives of any people. They must be identified, arrested, and punished according to the law.
We must decisively abandon the dangerous practice of blaming entire ethnic groups for the actions of a few criminals. It is unjust, it breeds hatred, and it damages our national unity.
Let us proudly celebrate our diverse cultures, talents, and contributions, rather than falling prey to stereotypes and prejudices that politicians and divisive interests exploit for their gain.
A new Nigeria must emerge—one where no citizen is condemned because of tribe, religion, or birthplace. We can cherish our cultural roots while standing united by justice, mutual respect, and hope for a better future. We are capable of this.
A new Nigeria is within our reach. -PO

My grandfather told us that after the Biafra War, he went back to Lagos only to find new occupants in his house.
The occupants were the same man he bought the land from.
The man had sold the land to my grandfather. Then, when the tension of the war was high, my grandfather sent his family to Ghana and went to the Southeast to join the Biafra Army.
He fought and survived, then came back three years after the war, only to see the same man who sold him the land living in his house. The man's entire family had occupied the property.
He didn't fight it. He placed a curse on that property.
He told us that he went back many years later and heard stories of how the family began to kill themselves because of that property. None of them amounted to anything. He described them as living like vagabonds.
My grandfather later acquired other properties that are still standing to this day.
