@PeasChicka @ApoloJedi_ @sola_chad Paul says some authoritative apostolic teachings were not written down, but had been handed down as “an oral statement.” Not in the Bible.

@XanacrustX @Kristoff5889851 @sola_chad Just as Christ says later in his sorrow, “Not my will, but yours be done.” Mary also modeled this as the first and greatest disciple, who said when receiving him, “I am the Lord’s maidservant. Let it be done unto me as you have said.”

@XanacrustX @Kristoff5889851 @sola_chad In the story, God punished them for their presumptuous use his power for their own purposes—a kind of inverted foreshadowing of Jesus retracing Israel’s steps while led by the Spirit in the desert. He has God’s power, but only obeys what the Father tells him to do.

@WHITE_VILLE @ReformedToRome @sola_chad If you read the Bible you’ll realized that the ark literally held the Spirit of God, it was supernatural, it killed if anyone disrespected it, it was made out of wood silver and gold must have weighed a ton yet 4-6 people carried it with ease, this is different.

@Kristoff5889851 @sola_chad We have a better and ultimate Ark of the Covenant and a better and ultimate Crucifixion and Resurrection... Why do you hold onto those of old when we have been gifted the ultimate work?

Garcia: While you were being assaulted, you told the agents that you had filmed this on your phone? Bazan: Yes. Garcia: And that’s when they took your phone away. These agents didn’t just take your phone. They sold it. They pawned it at a kiosk for $250. Is that correct? Bazan: Yes.

Yes, Your Holiness, they do. As a Catholic who bore such responsibility, I must admit, I am shocked that you would ask this question about those who are called to the warrior vocation. I am puzzled by the obvious implication that you believe these warriors do not make a serious examination of their conscience. Without putting too fine of a point on it, when the things I have heard from the leaders of our Church in recent days - speaking from a position of abject strategic and tactical ignorance that cannot possibly support the conclusions they have presented - are taken to their logical conclusion, the leaders of our Church appear to be calling for pacifism and the obliteration of the vocation of the warrior. That... is a very concerning departure from the traditional teachings of our Church, and there are millions of Catholics called to that vocation who are very confused and confounded by this departure. I implore you, Your Holiness, to engage with some of the Catholics called to the warrior vocation around the world and provide thoughtful clarity on this topic, clarity that can be used by real people in the real world to effect positive outcomes in our world, in our Church and in our hearts.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation restores our unity with God through the forgiveness of sins and the infusion of sanctifying grace. This generates the inner unity of the person and unity with the Church. It fosters peace and unity within the human family. One might ask: do those Christians who bear serious responsibility in armed conflicts have the humility and courage to make a serious examination of conscience and to go to confession?

The strategy of a “double-tap” strike, bombing first, waiting, and bombing again, is to kill survivors, rescuers, civilians and emergency medical workers. This is why the Geneva Conventions define this double-tapping as a potential war crime. In the case of the school in Minab, the US in the second strike was killing parents in horror over the children being killed in a surprise attack and trying to find them. This is the greatest number of civilians killed by the US military since the My Lai Massacre in the Vietnam War. This strike on schoolgirls was perpetrated on the very first day of the war. When all strikes were meticulously planned in advance.
Ben Norton@BenjaminNorton

Reuters confirmed that the elementary school in the Iranian city of Minab was bombed TWICE by the US military, 40 minutes apart. This was intentional. You don't "accidentally" bomb a school TWO TIMES. 168 children and 14 teachers were killed. It was a massacre.

U.S. Air Force officer adopted baby girl 53 years ago—now ICE wants to deport her to Iran. Being a Christian & daughter of U.S. military—sending her to Iran is a near certain death sentence. Her birth certificate names both legally adopted U.S. citizen parents—she has Real ID & social security card. Congress passed a law in 2000 to grant citizenship to people who were legally adopted from overseas—but it did not apply retroactively. "It just, to me, it's a broken promise to return somebody that two governments made an agreement to give an orphan a home," she said. "And I feel stateless. Iran was not my home. I left when I was 3 years old." The woman is awaiting her next court hearing later this month—where she will most likely be detained & deported. #DemsUnited

The point of calling a bombing campaign “not politically correct” is to make empathy itself illegitimate. Once mourning dead children is reframed as softness, there’s no floor. Anything can be justified as long as objecting to it can be painted as weakness.
