Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815.
Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did.
Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”

This is absurd. DEI, which judges people by group identity instead of individual character, is not "the natural evolution" of the Civil Rights movement that sought to judge people by their character instead of their group identity. These are opposites.
An obsession with group identity at the expense of the individual is an unfortunate aspect of human nature that must be actively countered and suppressed. The Civil Rights movement represented a rare instance of us overcoming those base instincts. DEI represents a regrettable return to the tribal, illiberal norm.
Just because DEI came after the Civil Rights movement doesn't mean the Civil Rights movement caused DEI or that DEI inevitably follows from the principles that motivated the Civil Rights movement. This is a post hoc, ergo propter hoc ("after this, therefore because of this") fallacy.
Auron MacIntyre@AuronMacintyre
DEI isn't some crazy form of communism, though its proponents are often neomarxists DEI is the natural evolution of civil rights law, that's why it was able to take hold so easily. and until you are willing to unwind that leviathan this is the world you will live in

Superbly clear & totally correct lecture by Colin Wright @SwipeWright. There are only 2 sexes & they're defined by gamete size. Convoluted attempts to deny binary sex are like Ptolemaic epicycles.

@PinkNews Most people aren’t anti-LGBTQ+
They’re anti-TQ+, anti-men-cheating-in-women’s-sports, anti-gaslighting-gays-and-lesbians and anti-transing-kids.
Hope that helps.

What on earth happened to the academy? As Fareed Zakaria recently asked: How did America’s elite universities go from being “the kinds of assets the world looks at with admiration & envy” just 8 years ago, to becoming objects of ridicule today? (Jon Haidt)

Someone asked me yesterday why I threw away a decent career in comedy, for the sake of speaking out.
Well, it's because this country is being subsumed by grim authoritarian communist fuckery.
And if people like me don’t kick against it, then my seven year old daughter has a very shit life to look forward to.
And when I made the decision to play my part in having a child, it was under the moral condition that I would do everything I could to give her a happy life.
Using whatever shitty little platform I'd built through my comedy to tell the truth about what's happening- and thereby sabotaging my own vaguely successful career- wasn’t much of a choice as far as I’m concerned, but something of a moral necessity.
It was about choosing not to be a cowardly, money-grubbing, little cunt.
And, of course, for the resourceful, there's always more than one way to earn a living, so it doesn't feel like I've thrown away so very much in fact.

Heart breaking watch this.
Another victim of gender woo with all the usual red flags us "far right bigots" talk of.
*Borderline Personality disorder
*Clinicians not asking, simply affirming confused, vulnerable kids
*Told they were in the wrong body
*Told it was life saving - BULLSHIT!
*Still put on the pathway regardless
*Top surgery done
*Unsure of fertility
In 3 short mins it proves every sentiment us gender critics raise and anyone not feeling a sense of guilt, shame, remorse or apathy for this young person really needs help.

@StormRam8 @shadmbrooks @JazzaStudios No one is saying nuclear family is the only option, but all research points that children with married, biological parents have better life outcomes on every metric. Please provide specific examples of other stuff he’s called out on, Commie.

@GreggoHarding @shadmbrooks @JazzaStudios No one is saying "nuclear family = bad", people just don't want the nuclear family to be the ONLY option. Also don't act like that is the only view shad gets called out for

@frogdylanband Oh, fuck off playing victim when you nasty little shits were the ones abusing women. Stay in the fucking bin.

Vivek Ramaswamy on @TheYoungTurks this upcoming Monday! You'd be nuts to miss it. But because of the campaign I can't participate in the interview. Plot twist! So, he's in a lot of trouble because it's just going to be him and @AnaKasparian! He's got nowhere to hide.

@HJoyceGender It is still a shock to see how an entire generation and long standing institutions were overrun with such a poisonous ideology. And all done under the Trojan banner of “be kind”.

Johnny here freely admits he's no idea what's in the book he's protesting about. Just that people have said the women who wrote it are bad people. This must be the most ignorant, ill-informed social movement of all time
Ross Patterson@rossreporting
We spoke to Johnny, who was protesting the book launch. He said this: (Unfortunately the video was corrupted, but we still captured audio.)
