Manchester United wanted to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma for the majority of the summer window but the Italian ONLY had interest in playing for a top club in the #UCL.🔝 United moved late to sign Senne Lemmens, as they had hoped Donnarumma would change his stance as the deadline got closer. He never considered United as an option and saw them as a huge ‘step down’ which could derail his career path. ❌

@sampilger If Mainoo goes then I’m not far off done with it all. Feels like we are selling some of the soul and foundations of the club that we have been built on. And all for a manager and ownership that is largely unproven. Hope he doesn’t go and can find a role in the team.
