We had a fantastic day on World Book Day last week. We all dressed in our pyjamas and enjoyed listening to stories. Our Year 6s read to the children in Reception and both drew pictures for each other. The paper plates designed for our competition were simply stunning.

Our School Council have been out and about taking care of the local area around our school this afternoon. Thank you to Love Bolton Hate Litter for the bags. Lots of litter was collected and we will definitely be out again after the half-term break.

We've been treated to some amazing assemblies over the last fortnight. Our Year 2s impressed with their learning about Florence Nightingale and Year 3 educated us on the Stone Age and the Iron Age. They've also completed some excellent work in class too.

What a fantastic trip Year 2 enjoyed to Brockholes last week. They spent a great day investigating microhabitats and observing the animals which live there. When they returned to school, the children wrote some excellent recounts of their day.

We’ve had a fantastic afternoon in Year 6 being Internet Legends, completing the Internet safety quiz and working in teams to build our robots. Thanks to @BoltonSICT for the kits 🙂

Year 5 enjoyed their launch angles experiment! We discussed the variables we will keep the same and the ones we will change. We have some excellent engineers amongst us! @SmallpeiceTrust Next experiment commencing after some well earned lunch!

Year 5 are super excited to become aeronautical engineers for the morning with @SmallpeiceTrust and the RAF.
