@pavlyndon so many p&p adaptations meanwhile all I want is a well-adapted persuasion film with a big budget

30 years ago we had a faithful P&P series with the best-acted elizabeth and darcy to date. then 20 years ago we had a higher budget, better-directed film version. why we need some worse combination of both escapes me.
