@naialaxtea Agreed but to blowout a team like this shows 0 sportsmanship and leads to the end of programs. I am a HighSchool lacrosse coach, there are things you can work on as a team and not humiliate your opponent. Karma has a long memory!

@HadenCoach You can’t just say “this team sucks, let’s not score…”. I think it’s a prick move if you keep your starters in all game. But if you have subs getting goals and playing time, I’m all for it.

Shame is that the odds of 4 AAC teams making it because of the new auto bid rule = a team will make it to slaughter while an AAC team is home who might make a great showing is coming(see Webber 2022)

@naialaxtea Agreed, or one of the captains of the team, preferably one who knows the rules. We should all take a page from rugby…this is the only contact sport I can think of where the officials still garner the level of respect they should.

Part 1: Maybe I’m going to sound old here but if your team receives a penalty, I don’t care how crazy the call is, players DO NOT speak to the refs. Only the head coach should be talking to the ref when it involves a penalty.

@naialaxtea @Hawgwld16 Please remember that we are talking about student/athletes who will most likely never play professionally. That is a huge burden to rest a championship on the shoulders of one athlete.

@Hawgwld16 Helps when your All American Fogo does faceoffs again… they would’ve won it last year if he took them instead of taking the year off.

@AppalachiaSky @naialaxtea I think those 2 stats go hand in hand, Madonna’s goalie played lights out in the first half. It was SCAD’s alumni weekend and Senior Day they had a lot to play for.

@naialaxtea Is the stat of SCAD being 0-10 on man up correct? Varner with 29 saves for Madonna. SCAD with 20 more ground balls than Madonna and 64 total shots. Taking nothing away from SCAD but did Madonna have “bus lag?”

SCAD wins a huge one against #9 Madonna! SCAD goes 23/25 on face offs to help secure this victory. Mowers and Hickman also had great games to get this top-10 win. #naialacrosse

@naialaxtea The other thing that has to be considered is the budget, teams have to have deep pockets to head South, not to mention the ability to miss classes unless it is during Spring Break. How many of the Northern teams have indoor facilities?

@HadenCoach Well the Midwest teams like WPU and MBU have played a couple of games this year already. They just had to come south for it. So why aren’t those WHAC schools doing it like that? Get your traveling in early.

Here’s a crazy thing about the NAIA. Keiser and Indiana Tech play on 2-25. This will be ITU’s first game, it’ll be Keiser’s SIXTH. Like that just seems crazy to me.. it’ll be interesting to see if loading up early or late affects one’s team during playoffs. #naialacrosse

@naialaxtea There would be a competitive edge for the teams that can practice outside, in similar weather conditions…year round! And having the ability to play through heat is an advantage also for the Southern teams. Let’s have the Nationals in Michigan to test this theory!

@HadenCoach Maybe thats why those Midwestern teams can’t win the Natty?? Since it’s been held in either FL or GA since COVID.
