When Dan first announced his running for Congress, I felt something deeply. There are only two reasons to enter politics... To fight or to grift. I made a page to celebrate a Hero walking into the battlefield and I witnessed first hand that I was far from alone in being moved by his commitment. My phone almost broke in a deluge of notifications of hundreds of thousands of people saying they felt exactly what I did. Evil must seek out mercenaries, use threats, black mail and temptation to assemble an army. But Goodness requires no purchasing. I’ve been going through the donations on my campaign page and reading the notes people left. I wasn’t excited to start this race, felt like homework I was putting off, but seeing this many people give, probably thinking nobody would even see it is really motivating.
