Mary Beatrice Kenner was an African American Inventor, holding the most patents as a Black woman. In the 1950s, she invented the menstrual belt to improve women's health, lifestyle, and hygiene during their menstruation. You can thank her for the toilet paper holder too!

Today: Period activism is stronger than ever, with efforts to end period poverty, address menstrual health disparities, and fight for period equity.

2000s: Period poverty became a global issue, with many women unable to afford basic menstrual products. Thinx debuted the period panty in 2015.

Menstrual care is a basic human right that's often neglected. Women of color, Black Women in particular face a disproportionate lack of access to menstrual care, leading to hygiene insecurity. Let's make it right.
