@trppnontriscuts @maruksp I was supremely disappointed in Sakhal, though I’d picked up a server for it at release. Sakhal felt pretty…but bland. I ended up canceling the server and switching to a community server on Bitterroot map, which has been great to explore so far.

@maruksp incredible community additions to the game just pales in comparison and you're charging more that what I paid when the game first came out in early access. That's back when DayZ was at the forefront of the "release it now, build it later" style of game. Look where that got us.

Did you know that 8 million users for whom we have data on Steam played for an average of 188 hours and paid an average of 30 USD gross in #Dayz? That means we received less than 10 cents for an hour of live online gaming, for which we host the online infrastructure and have been updating it for 10+ years. Yet Dayz Frostline is currently being review-bombed on the same platform for being too expensive: $26.99 for "just a map," and some users demand "gimme more for less money." Hmm. Please Please Me.

Its 2017. Still couldn't quite get to release #Namalsk in @DayZ due to modding not being officially supported yet. But I have been already realizing the potential of DayZ and so I started working on something I called DayO. 1/4

@GDPDuncan Super curious on whether we’ll get more details on the decision to close the game 🤔 Dead Matter is still dug in and trying. To me, FV was in a better spot than DM at release.

Wild to see FV shutting down so soon. As a Kickstarter backer, I hopped in post-launch, hoping the clunky feel would improve over time. I wonder if some of the elements could be repurposed for a single-player survival game or a more focused multiplayer experience, like 7D2D. 🤔
