Actually, the EU had been “humiliated“ by Trump. Merz knows this: the EU wants to be active in foreign policy, but in my opinion, the EU and Britain are going to be a museum of foreign policy, stuck in 19th-century policy and unwilling to update. The EU is losing its role in the world and new powers like IRAN (not the Islamic Republic) are again born.
