At LWTC, we're committed to inclusivity! Recently, we delivered the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme in BSL for a deaf patient. She shared, “This course was excellent, and more deaf people should access this info. Early education is key to preventing diabetes.”

New figures show a 26% increase in young people under 40 diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in Dorset since the pandemic, rising from 1,075 to 1,360 individuals. This surge highlights the critical link between obesity and diabetes, particularly among younger populations.

In 2022-2023, Living Well Taking Control (LWTC) made a huge impact with 61,779 referrals for our Diabetes Prevention Programme, marking a 208% increase from the previous year! 🚀 Our expanded reach means more people are getting the support they need for a healthier future.
