It's actually just a basic sfv clientside mod under the hood. Players playing against him reported the normal desync behavior on their end.

He didn't actually cheat, he was able to spoof capcom servers into not immediately booting him after detecting a desync (or maybe he prevented it from being recognized?) Note how in a lot of these videos these high ranked players make nonsensical inputs. The game is desynced.

to this day i still dont understand how they pulled this off, i dont know of any other fighting game cheats that actively change the property of characters while still working online against an unmodded client

Almost done with my Fire Emblem Engage mod that adds a skill to EVERY (S Rank) bond ring into the game, that's almost 100 skills added into the game... Hopefully no more last minute issues pop up (there were a LOT) and I can finally post the mod before the year ends.
