It is with sorrow and concern that I learned of the recent attacks against various communities in Nigeria leading to a heavy loss of life. I express my prayerful closeness to all the victims of violence and terrorism. I likewise hope that the competent Authorities will continue to work with determination to ensure the safety and protection of the life of every citizen. #PrayTogether

The new, public only consultant contract will prove a disaster for Irish Healthcare. Consultants will get paid no matter how much work they do. They are now incentivised to do as little work as possible. And doctors respond to the same incentives as everyone else.

Met a man today who delayed coming into hospital for 3 days with a stroke because he was terrified he was going to have a Covid vaccine forced upon him. He is still traumatised by being shunned by his own children, family & friends for not being jabbed.

I need your help. The Irish Medical Council have scheduled my hearing for 23/9 at the King's Inns, and I'm not certain how to proceed. I will publish the book of evidence or the case against me, in full here, as my case will certainly be ignored by RTE and others. The situation as it stands is as follows. 1) I have no legal representation because my medical insurance have declined legal advice/cover in this matter. This is because my case involves 'no injured party' and does not pertain to my practice of medicine. I have not retained a private barrister because in 2021, I closed my Practice to avoid being forced to administer Covid vaccines. Since then I work as a locum and in the out of hours (where covid vaccines do not have to be dispensed by me). I will not subject my family to further financial loss by being compelled to hire a private legal team. Basically,I can't and won't afford private legal counsel. 2) The Medical Council itself is: the complainant or plaintiff; they are also acting as the prosecution and the judge at my hearing. 3) The Medical Council has refused to issue ANY witness summons on behalf of the defence. Mr Harris and Dr Holohan, therefore, will not be summoned to answer questions in respect of the policies I am accused of undermining. 4) The Medical Council will be calling Dr Graham Bottley from the UK to testify against me. Dr Bottley is a well-known internet troll. he is not a credible or even a respectable wittness. Given the nature of these proceedings and the entirely inevitable outcome,my choices are as follows. A) Appear at the 'hearing' in a Kangaroo costume? These are available online for a relatively small sum? B) Make a statement at my hearing highlighting how Nursing Home residents died and how the Medical Council ignored and punished all Doctors who did not adhere to policies that have killed many people and a Pharmaceutical agenda that has injured and killed many more people? C) Attend the hearing, ignore the proceedings, and read a book. (A Confederacy of Dunces- by John Kennedy Toole- would surely lift the spirits!) D) Contest the hearing-challenge the "experts" as best I can - and fail with dignity. Your help on deciding what to do would be greatly appreciated. Marcus

Strange wording from our national broadcaster. By calling Marie Steen’s stance ‘the opposing side’ on referendums, RTÉ implies there was a default ‘correct’ side. A public broadcaster should report neutrally, not frame one position as the norm.
