🚨Diogo Dalot on the criticism directed at Bruno Fernandes after Portugal’s draw against DR Congo:
🗣️ “I opened social media after the match and honestly, I was shocked by what I saw.
The amount of abuse aimed at Bruno Fernandes was unbelievable.
People were acting as if he had done something against Portugal simply because every attack didn’t end with Cristiano Ronaldo touching the ball.
That is not how football works.
Bruno has spent years showing respect to Cristiano, supporting him, and helping this national team. To see him being attacked by his own supporters is disappointing.
What frustrates me is that some people seemed more focused on counting Bruno’s passes to Ronaldo than actually watching the match.
Every decision he made was judged through one lens: ‘Did he pass to Cristiano?’
Football is much bigger than that.
Players have to make decisions in real time. Sometimes the best option is Ronaldo. Sometimes it isn’t.
That doesn’t mean you’re disrespecting anyone.
Bruno is one of the most important players Portugal has. He creates chances, controls games, and takes responsibility when others don’t want the ball.
Instead of appreciating that, people are filling his comment section with criticism and abuse.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a legend. Nobody questions that.
But supporting Cristiano should never mean attacking his teammates.
At the end of the day, we’re all fighting for the same badge, the same country, and the same objective.
If Portugal fans start turning against their own players every time a decision doesn’t go Ronaldo’s way, then we’re creating problems for ourselves that no opponent could ever create.”

💣🚨 BREAKING: Algeria 🇩🇿 Submits Official Petition to FIFA Over Messi Non-Red Card in Argentina vs Algeria (2026 World Cup)
In the 30th minute, Messi went in late on Algeria captain Aïssa Mandi studs raking the back of his calf/ankle. Ref gave only a free-kick, no card at all. VAR checked and said no problem. Now the Algerian FA has sent a formal petition to FIFA asking for a review and possible action.
FIFA/IFAB Law 12 Rules Algeria Is Citing:
>Serious Foul Play: A challenge that endangers the opponent or uses excessive force = red card.
>Lunging Challenge: Lunging with one or both legs using excessive force or endangering safety = red card.
>Excessive Force: Going beyond necessary force and endangering the player = mandatory red.
>Reckless (yellow) vs Serious (red): Disregard for danger = yellow; actual endangerment = red.
Algeria’s Case: Late studs-up contact on the calf/ankle with full body weight clear serious foul play under the rules. They say it should have been a red and VAR got it wrong.
Pundits agree: Thierry Henry called it a red, Ale Moreno said “100% a red.”
Officials: No card, said it was only careless. Mandi got treatment but carried on.
FIFA will now look into the petition. Strong debate going on.
What do you think, red card or not? ⚽

🚨🔴 BREAKING NEWS:
FIFA have officially apologized for the error made during Argentina's match after Lionel Messi was not shown a red card for his controversial challenge.
According to FIFA, the referee and VAR team failed to properly review the incident despite clear contact being visible from multiple angles.
We admitted that the tackle should have been reviewed and that the officials made a mistake by allowing play to continue without disciplinary action.🔴
