Because Brave actually solves problems people are tired of dealing with. Brave came in with a very aggressive stance on privacy, built-in ad/tracker blocking, anti-fingerprinting, Tor integration, crypto features, and a philosophy that feels more independent than Chrome or Edge. That naturally attracts a lot of users and especially people who are privacy-conscious or tired of Big Tech. A lot of people hype Brave because they see it as one of the few mainstream browsers actively pushing back against the surveillance-advertising model.

@Techjunkie_Aman @ProtonVPN @mullvadnet I use Proton and I share the opinion that feels like it's for everybody. Privacy can become a rabbit hole which scares casual users off imo so Proton could also be a gateway if some are more interested.
