Biggest omissions - for me - Hampton, Gaffney, O’Connell, Chiazza. Thought all 4 were deserving. Never enough spots, but those 4 graded out - to me - high enough and had good tournament performances.

@RefObserver17 @SEC Oh no I fully agree with you. The refs in this conference are atrocious. Called more than 1000 more fouls on games this year than the Big East refs.

@AyersRefTracker @Nfl121White I'm honestly fine with where the arm is but my point is if a player is moving forward they don't have legal guarding position so any contact (even arm straight up) is a foul

@HigginsHair @Nfl121White Yeah — I don’t see how you can say the defender’s hand is straight up, clearly it’s angled toward the shooter. The shooter draws contact, the ball ends up way short. It’s a terrible/forced shot but it’s a foul.

A limited Friday night conference slate, as usual. If Roger ends up in Philadelphia for the DePaul/Villanova game — that would mean games in Raleigh, Santa Clara, and Philly on 3 nights in a row. Feels quite unlikely but wouldn’t put anything past Roger and his schedule.

@jwasports @IowaHoops Respectfully, I watched the whole game. Officiating was ATROCIOUS. Not worthy of a middle school game. And I say that as an OSU fan who likes neither UI or MSU. Reffing so lopsided in favor of Sparty it was embarrassing. If I were Fran, they’d have taken me out in a straitjacket.

I thought this was a very fair and informative article but it’s not just limited to Edey. Any team that has a true “5” probably feels the same way. Officiating true post play, is the most inconsistently officiated part of the NCAAM’s game.
