Game journalists are still complaining that Crimson Desert is too hard, and it needs a "difficulty slider".
The game is designed to be played as is, and it's up to the player to adjust the difficulty of the game with the use of consumables, resurrection items, and upgrades.
Don't have great reflexes?
Then farm up a ton of consumables and spam them during the fight to make it easier, and upgrade weapons and gear.
Too many people are used to games with so many difficulty settings where it's just a faceroll at the lowest difficulty, also known as "journalist mode", which allows journalists to beat the game.
In the 90's, and many games of the 2000's did not have difficulty sliders, and were designed to be experienced as is.

By adding features like this to X, it does start going towards this "everything social app".
How you perceive it, that is up to you.
I am unsure how to feel about it. I don't think this is a feature I would use unless i had something useful to send in return, like using it as a means to replace the concept of patreon. But that is what "subscriptions" are for anyway, but this would be how you set "another level"...i guess?
There are 2 prongs also to consider:
people might pay others to be able to send them info to be sure it is seen. hypothetically, if i could pay a max of 5 bucks to dm the FTC guy to send info he MIGHT see, yea....i'd consider it.
However, just because someone is paying to speak to you, it does not mean they have anything of value to say either.....
So i think this is a mixed bag that will need experimenting.
