You are exactly right @GeorgeChiesa this is what I've been trying to say all along. Even if #CambridgeAnalytica deleted raw @Facebook data, they kept the models and therefore were still using that dataset. Same with every other client they had from the NRA, to Ted Cruz, to GOP...

@zamaanq47 @profcarroll @EmmaLBriant @jason_kint @OwnYourDataNow with respect, if a model has an absurdly high overfitting (which is a technical ML term) - like the @iconews appears to suggest in pages 16-17 of the latest report on the subject - then it's unlikely than a model can be said NOT to be functionally equivalent to the input data...

Looks like that national gun registry already exists. It is being run by private gun associations with the personal information of gun owners, unknown to these private individuals, being delivered to Cambridge Analytica to benefit the Trump campaign. 2A warriors, any comment?

There's no coming back from this for @afneil ... he continually called the Cambridge Analytica a conspiracy theory and personally attacked @carolecadwalla numerous times for investigating it ... and now here it is ... The Barclay Brothers who bankroll him up to their necks in it.
