What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.

After six years in law enforcement, that chapter has come to an end — and if I’m honest, it’s sad that it ended this way. I always tried to use my platform to show the good in this job — the human side, the service, the sacrifice, and the people behind the badge. It was never about attention. It was about showing that there is still so much good in this profession, and I was proud to be part of that. But somewhere along the way, it became clear that being quiet was more acceptable than continuing to speak positively about a career I genuinely cared about. What made it difficult was that none of this was ever a secret. I was publicly associated with my agency, I was on national television, and I had previously been allowed to share content that reflected positively on the profession. So when that suddenly became an issue, it was hard not to see that things had shifted. And the truth is, I’m just not willing to become smaller to make other people comfortable. So, I made the decision to step away. I’ll always be proud of the work I did, the people I served, and the version of me that this career helped shape. Some endings don’t come the way we would have chosen them — but that doesn’t make them any less necessary. What comes next, I’ll share in time.
