#Punch 🍧❤ Good afternoon / evening / morning everyone ☕ made it back 🫧and I was caught in a few storms over the week, weekend so I couldn’t come online. and While picking plums with the unnies,( Sis's) lightning struck nearby and it turned into total chaos 💫😂 There’s so much to catch up on here, haha. The plums this year are incredibly sweet the Brix is really high. Eating them to recharge my energy. Having fun online, dealing with trolling, then getting buried in real life… I came back after 10 years and honestly, it’s still kind of disappointing ? Or 🍧🍧and Remember this : Punch = wild baby 😍ᯓᡣ𐭩 Have a great day ❤❤

@HolyMolySakura EQ = Emotional Intelligence. Involves 4 core skills: self-awareness (knowing what you feel), self-management (controlling impulses), social awareness (empathy), & relationship management (resolving conflict/communicating clearly). Punch ranks VERY high in all 4 core skills ;-)

#punch IQ Analysis 🐾🐾🍧 Punch, a Japanese macaque (Macaca fuscata) born July 26, 2025 and now roughly 11 months old, has no human-style IQ score. Japanese macaques are among the most socially intelligent and fastest-learning primates. They are famous for cultural behaviors ,such as washing sweet potatoes and seasoning them in seawater 🏖️(ˆ˚ˆ✿) that spread through entire troops, as seen in the landmark Koshima studies. They excel at cooperative tasks, detecting unfair reward distribution, and rapidly mastering complex skills. When compared with human children, their performance in problem-solving, object permanence, and basic social cognition often aligns with the 2–3 year old range, with particular strengths in hierarchy learning, visual-spatial skills, and reading social cues. Punch himself shows impressive progress. After early rejection by his mother and initial isolation, he has successfully integrated into the troop. He now demonstrates strong social resilience — coolly deflecting threats, following the adult males to forage, playing energetically, and eating with the group. The “humanized” quality we see comes from his highly expressive face and relatable behaviors, which are characteristic of the species. Conclusion: By Japanese macaque standards, Punch’s cognitive abilities are excellent and likely above average.🐾🐾🐒❤❤ Have a great day. 🍧❤

Exactly. The zoo has been very transparent with their updates. These hierarchy lessons and occasional squabbles are completely normal ,even the fully “integrated” macaques do it every day (you can hear it in the background of most videos). Punch has made huge visible progress in just 6-7 months after his early isolation period. If people actually read the recent official zoo updates instead of old viral clips, it becomes very clear how well he’s doing. Have a great afternoon!

@monkeynearpunch @HolyMolySakura @aleheronstairs She's pointing out how much he's grown in 6-7 months after a period of isolation, and it's something to celebrate. And the truth is that even the "integrated" macaques get into daily squabbles, you can hear some of them in the background at times.

Good afternoon, have u met him or visited??? However, Thank you for the observation. Punch was hand-raised by keepers for the first several months after his mother rejected him at birth, which is why you can see that mix of expressive, almost human-influenced behaviors. At the same time, he’s now actively learning real troop life , following the adult males, navigating hierarchy through normal (sometimes rough) interactions, and integrating with the other macaques. You’re seeing exactly that transition between the two worlds.Have a great day.☕

Hey you again,s×÷pid fu*k, are you just wandering around stirring shit up or do you want to get dealt with right here? And what the hell are you gonna do if I have the evidence?😎 This is exactly why the internet is full of trash 🪏 clowns🕳️ who can’t even run their own page and just go around harassing other people’s posts. Get a life.

coffee first, 😎 With respect, this take leans heavily on older incidents while ignoring the zoo’s own recent updates and clear visible progress. Troop acceptance: Full integration for hand-raised infants takes time - that’s normal. But current updates show real advancement: Punch is regularly playing with troop members (including tolerant adults like Atomaru), riding on males’ backs, and spending far less time with his plushie. The zoo has confirmed he’s becoming more independent and socially engaged with the group. Claims based on “last published news” about sleeping arrangements appear outdated. Foraging with the males: Recent videos show him actively with the group during feeding, following the adults. The “drama” you mention is exactly the normal hierarchy teaching the zoo has repeatedly stated helps him learn troop rules without harm. Supplemental care during this transition is standard practice and does not mean he isn’t progressing with the troop. Coolly deflecting threats: In macaque society, learning submission and social boundaries involves being tested and chased. The fact that Punch persists, navigates these interactions, and is gaining protection from certain adults shows genuine resilience and development. The zoo has been clear , these are quick, non-harmful scoldings for socialization. The shift from frequent May incidents to calmer, more engaged June behavior (playing vigorously with pals, thriving on group diet) is documented progress. Punch is demonstrating exactly the steady, resilient integration expected for a hand-raised infant in a complex troop. Selective focus on past challenges while dismissing current zoo reports and observable behavior doesn’t reflect the full picture. Do you love punch or using the Zoo Punch for any gain?

Not sure what you used to put this together. Call me negative but… 1) accepted by the troop? Only time will tell. Former hand raised monkeys like Otome and Ryu took years to integrate. Last news published is Punch doesn’t sleep with the rest of the troop yet. 2) forages with the males? Well, we saw that drama today and 2-3 more incidents the past week. If he truly eats well, then there’s no need to feed him extra inside the backrooms. 3) cooly deflecting threats? Sorry but no. He still does not show submission and is chased away regularly. June might be a bit calm but last May he was bitten and dragged almost every other day.

#punch Looking at these photos, Punch has become so humanized ❤ He’s thriving in troop life, and his fighting skills have leveled up so much that he now coolly deflects attacks when targeted. Such a cool guy!ദ്ദി˶˃ ᵕ ˂ )✧🍧 Caught in the act munching apples and carrots while following the dads around because he wants to tag along.🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤ At this rate he could graduate kindergarten and start elementary school 😂Way to go ❤punch ❤
