From my speech at the International College (@IC_Lebanon) Annual Dinner: It is no secret that decades of corruption, nepotism, sectarianism, and gross mismanagement have taken a heavy toll on Lebanese society. Against this backdrop, I am proud to say that our new government is working hard—against all odds—to reverse this trend and restore trust in public institutions, to reignite our economy, and to create real opportunity for Lebanese to thrive here, at home … Let us work together to build a Lebanon where no young person feels the need to leave to succeed. A Lebanon where talents are nurtured, not wasted. Where aspirations are met with opportunity, not violence, economic despair, or sectarian division … and where excellence is not the exception, but the norm.
