IDRN Global

I mentioned this earlier, but once again, I'm so encouraged this evening as I was able to observe as IDRN Legacy leaders met with local leaders in Nepal in preparation for some IDRN training in March. These experienced and capable people have taken the initiative to engage existing relationships (through IDRN) from Nepal to come help prepare and strengthen local groups. The interaction was fluid, natural, caring, practical and insightful. One of our members talked specifically about working with the local leaders to figure out what are appropriate and "doable" Go-Bags for the locals. For example, the guy taking lead on this is from Singapore and somewhat "famous" for his personal Go-Bag... kind of "advanced" with lots of gadgets, etc. But he's smart enough to know that the people in Nepal they will be working with will not be building Go-Bags like his. (The picture with this post is a generic green bag. Some like specific kinds of bags, but what matters is what is inside of that bag.) There were smiles and jokes made, but the wisdom and practical aspect of this simple single aspect of the training is just a small part of it all, and yet they are preparing as they help others prepare. Helping one another is not magic... it just takes people who are willing to engage and share and help. As was said a few times in this evening’s meeting, Think Globally, Act Locally. This group had people from Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, S Korea, and me.... USA. Join us. @IDRNGlobal
