Indiana @GovBraun signed IHCA/INCAL’s priority bills HEA 1210 and HEA 1277 into law today to help reform the beleaguered PathWays for Aging Medicaid program and establish permanent property tax exemptions for non-profit long-term care operators. A big thank you to Rep. Brad Barrett, Sen. Mike Crider, Rep. Craig Snow and Sen. Travis Holdman for authoring and sponsoring the legislation in the General Assembly. These lawmakers and several others were legislative champions for our industry and critical to the successful passage of these new laws. To our members, thank you for your engagement in the legislative process! Our legislative victories would not be possible without the unwavering support of our long-term care community. These changes are a win-win for the state and the vulnerable, but there’s still work to be done. As Hoosiers and their health-care providers continue to live under the problematic PathWays program, IHCA/INCAL will continue to advocate for common-sense, evidence-based solutions to help ease the pain it causes.
