Last week the Solent Seagrass Champion volunteers sorted & counted a grand total of 3,300 seeds for @HantsIWWildlife! The seeds are stored in a chilling system over the winter months to be planted in Spring, with better conditions for seedling growth🌱

A beautiful morning in Langstone Harbour. This is the view clear across the harbour from Southmoor Lane in Havant, over the saltmarsh islands of the @RSPBEngland reserve & onto Eastney (incuding @UoPMarineBiol). Beyond the Solent, in the background, the Isle of Wight rises.

@WordsFromWez @EllieParker26 Like a massive reservoir construction?🤔 The waterways through Bedhampton and Havant are very strongly coloured with clay.

@IMS_Marc @EllieParker26 Glad you've noticed it too. There are some significant earthworks going on to the north of Havant this year.

Sediment transport into Langstone Harbour today. The brown plume in these photo's was coming down via the hermitage stream (not via the wastewater outfall in this case). It's been noticable how much soil the Hermitage has been carrying after rain this last year.
