@DrDannyTaylor @jimboc29 We’ve tried those as well, lasted a year, take up was low, not sure I agree there is a market for those events. Our Outlaws are the only ones increasing in demand. I think we offer value for money...no TM but exclusive use of the lake isn’t for free!

@jimboc29 ...agree completely - especially when a decent number aren’t bothered with all the ‘bumf’ (T-shirt, medal, banana, 30p voucher off a £6 protein bar etc etc) and a large number of volunteers cover the event...definitely a market for low-maintenance cheaper (still safe) races?

I know it’s logistically a lot more difficult to plan and there is more involved...but £60+ for a sprint.... versus £12 for a TT. Triathlon is so expensive now...

@IainHamilton73 Having done it I found that the bigger issue may have been the bunching at the start due to the shorter first straight. I guess a rolling/seeded swim start is tricky to organise?
