Mikeal Rogers (@mikeal) died yesterday morning of cancer. He was much too young. We’d been friends for 15 years now - and I’m crushed. He was a good human - fun, sociable, curious. I’m glad he was so dedicated to mindfulness; I hope it helped. I will miss you, Mikeal.
His sudden illness and death is a stark reminder of how fragile our lives are. Life is short. You must live it now.
I am heartened to know that Mikeal did live life fully. He’d take me to fancy restaurants, no airs at all - he’d just dug in and enjoy.
