@croft1a Yes it’s very invasive - we inherited ours quite a while ago, but it’s pretty much everywhere- by the roadside and all over the place. It’s easier to get rid of it in winter when it dies back.

@InEilidh Left to it montbretia can totally clog ground so trees sicken and nothing smaller survives except bramble. I really really wish it was taken seriously.
There’s still apparently a school of thought it doesn’t spread from seed in the UK. That is certainly not true in the Hebrides

@croft1a Yes it’s all over the place round here - finally got rid of most of it in the front garden - but there’s still a lot in the back.

@InEilidh Good luck. There’s no other way to curb it but you’ll be cutting years. The upside is when you finally see it thinning & and all those stacked bulbs are rotting it’s a really fine soil. Just don’t ever turn your back on it
