Delhi: The Unnao rape victim says, "When we went to India Gate, the police prevented us from protesting. The police administration is controlled by the BJP. They manhandled me; I have a rod inserted in my body, and I have 250 stitches all over my body, yet they roughly picked me up and threw me into a bus. The police took me to the police station, from where they later released me. The same thing happened to social activist Yogita Bhayana. She was with me. The court itself is making a joke of how such a decision can be made..." Delhi High Court suspends the sentence of the 2017 Unnao rape case accused, former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. The High Court has directed that Sengar will not enter the 5-kilometre area where the victim resides in Delhi.

The Unnao victim protests on the road and the entire government machinery drags her away! She was a minor. A child. Who lost everything in this fight. In this great country - there are a million rules as to what a girl should wear or do! The entire country’s respect lies on the shoulders of a woman/ a girl/ a female. The length of your dress can be dangerous to your religion. You will be called Adi Parashakti but you will be dragged away like garbage when you protest against injustice, you will be murdered, your family will be wiped out. You will be treated as an Adi Parashakti till you stay in the line drawn by the society - quiet without protest, without a fight, without a thought! UP gang rape survivor family shifted home five times in last 10 years. "We changed addresses and cities multiple times to avoid recognition and harassment. But every time we were identified and vilified," survivor of the horrific 2016 Bulandshahar NH gang rape. Mother-daughter duo travelling on NH-91 with their family were gang-raped by five men in 2016.

Statement by Durgapur gangrape survivor’s college sets the record straight. The lady left her college at 7:58 and was finally back inside her hostel at 9:31 pm. It’s sad it had to come to this; but at least the unnecessary detail of whether she was out at 12:30 am or not, should be put to rest after this.

#WATCH | Kolkata, WB: On the alleged gangrape of an MBBS student in Durgapur, CM Mamata Banerjee says, "... The girls should not be allowed to go outside (college) at night. They have to protect themselves also. There is a forest area. Police are searching all the people. Nobody will be excused. Whoever is guilty will be punished strictly. Three people have already been arrested. We will take stringent action... When it happens in other states, it is also condemnable. Such incidents have taken place in Manipur, UP, Bihar, Odisha; we also think the government must take stringent action there. In our state, we charge-sheeted the people within 1-2 months, and the lower court gave the order to hang the accused."

The 19-yr-old receptionist at a resort near Rishikesh was murdered by Pulkit Arya and 2 others in 2022. She was pushed into the chilla canal over a dispute. The couple was sitting under a tree by a canal when the accused arrived and forcibly took the girl to a desolate spot and raped her. The fiancé trying to intervene was also assaulted. Police have arrested 8 accused in the case.

Two girls abducted in Noida, one killed other gangraped In UP's Noida, two girls were abducted in a car, forced to consume alcohol on the evening of May 6. Later in the night, one of the girls was forced to deboard in Meerut and killed after they tried to raise alert. The other girl was gangraped by three men in the car. Following complaint of the gangrape survivor, an FIR was registered and two suspects were held in an encounter.
