FYI: Not all distracted driving is caused by cell phones. A mile down the road, there's a car in the ditch. Straight road. 9 a.m. Car drove straight in, no swerving. I go check it out. An older guy comes walking out. "I was eating crackers and reached for my chocolate milk." 🙄

Today, among many other things we saw in Rome, we went to the same spot my Grandpa Joe walked sometime after fighting in “Bloody Anzio” 80 years ago. I’ve always loved history, but today we lived it. Props to my son Trey for finding the spot (my grandpa is the guy on the left).

@VariaDu @hort4cy Fair point: I started at <1/2 that 28 years ago. Then I consider my private college tuition averaged $10,000/year & I came out w/loans <$10,000. We also had a surplus in the teacher pool (Supply & Demand). This House proposal allows more fairness in distributing $$ to us oldies.

@hort4cy Now that wouldn't be fair to all the people in the past that weren't paid 50k. Kick in some funds for handling the sporting rifle incidents that the Iowa House failed to address.
