Aside from the extreme/disrespectful people on here I really hate that it feels like it’s taboo to hold Book to the high standard of a franchise player and the Suns to the standard of a team that’s yet to win a title. Especially when HE does the same. I’m so tired of the “fake fans” “stay on that side” “you don’t know ball” stuff. I don’t care if I was best friends with Book, I would still speak my mind to him. Just like I hold my people accountable irl. Most of us have gone to WAR for him for over a decade on here and have been through hell with this team for even longer. I think we have the right to also be hard on him/them without having our fandom/ball knowledge insulted. Loyalty ≠ never critical or pragmatic. If being plugged means I gotta be super biased, make 1000 excuses, and be a yes man, I’m cool with never having some of these relationships man. I work with some of the players through my job and I genuinely like them as people, but I’ll always call it how I see it, I’m a SUNS fan first and I want to see a title in my lifetime.
