@raulpacheco You definitely have the option to upload only one “general” letter of recommendation. Once uploaded, this letter will be available for them to use on any job posting. Within the letter request you received, you should be able to review what type of letter you requestor is looking for, a general or a more specific letter. Am I doing something wrong or @Interfolio requests letters of recommendation that should be tailored to each specific job posting? Why did I think you could just upload ONE recommendation letter and that different institutions could use the same for different postings?

@Interfolio @baym I feel like this is a threat! Not long ago, I recall that Interfolio was lobbying universities to sanction faculty who didn't sing their praises! No DM yet. I'm hoping for the best. If tweets get deleted, you'll know why!

Is there a more perfect example of a self-inflicted administrative wound than having to go back and forth multiple times over months revising formatting on an internal CV for things that won’t even make a difference to the promotion case?

@baym @Interfolio It's funny to me that @Interfolio actually gives you the option to generate a CV for your personal use from their database of largely irrelevant fields. I can't imagine they think it's actually being used the way, but I'm sure they market it to Enterprise IT groups.
