Even the most hated person can tell the truth sometimes. @NikolPashinyan openly admitted in Prague that Armenia recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. The hysterical outrage against him is understandable, but misplaced. For the first time in decades, an Armenian leader is trying to pull his country out of the endless cycle of romantic mythology and victimhood. He’s attempting to replace “History of the Armenian People” - full of lost lands and eternal enemies - with the actual reality of the modern Republic of Armenia. That’s painful for many. It challenges the comforting narrative of sacred mountains, ancient DNA supremacy, and “we were robbed” identity. But it’s necessary. Ararat (Ağrı Dağı) is in Turkiye. Qarabağ is in Azerbaijan. Reality check on demographics: Russia transplanted tens of thousands of Armenians into the Erivan region after 1828, flipping it from a Muslim-majority (primarily Turks and Kurds) area into an Armenian one. Armenians later did the same in Karabakh by resettling thousands of Armenians from Syria, Lebanon, and elsewhere to strengthen their hold on the occupied territories. No amount of UN resolutions (822, 853, 874, 884) that Armenians once ignored, Bible pages, or dramatic genetic videos will change geography or military reality. Respect to Pashinyan for at least trying to move Armenia toward pragmatism instead of perpetual grievance. The real betrayal would be keeping the next generation trapped in the same delusions that have already cost them so much.

Vladimir Putin reminded Nikol Pashinyan that it was he who, in Prague, recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, and that the Collective Security Treaty Organization could not do anything.

This must be why the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh couldn't continue to protect Armenians there, because this jerk @NikolPashinyan sold his homeland, which Artsakh has always been part of, by declaring it to be part of Azerbaijan in 2022. You all know the catastrophe that followed this high treason in 2023.
