@turfybren @henrywinter Obviously because it was a freak of nature in winning the league and we had never been a top 6 club in our entire history. It was only ever going to be a short ride at the top and anyone with a brain could realise that. I loved that part of our history but it’s over.

@lee1978lcfc Then the others are gambles that simply didn’t work out. But if we weren’t gambling in the transfer market, the fans would have been even more upset.
In amongst that there was also some decent business in the shape of Fofana and Maguire. Ndidi and Evans were great purchases too.

However, Tielemans wasn’t terribly expensive for how good he was up until Jan2023. Soyuncu probably fair price. Iheanacho and Perez were players we simply had to have in the squad to be competitive through injuries

I appreciate hindsight is a wonderful thing when things are going badly but ... Our club has given Luke Thomas a new 4 year contract and I know on good authority we didn't offer Vardy anything or even try ... Make that make sense ... He's on 19k a week at Cremonese.
