The second volume of James Baldwin Review features an essay by Mikko Tuhkanen on Baldwin and Malcolm X, and a reconsideration of the 1965 Cambridge debate with William F. Buckley, Jr. by Daniel Robert McClure.

The cover of Volume 1 features a photo by Turkish photographer Sedat Pakay, who documented much of Baldwin’s time in Istanbul. The volume features a never-before-printed-in-English Baldwin interview from 1969.
