@sharrond62 What most of you appear to miss is the fact that the winter fuel allowance is being taken away from wealthy pensioners who have thousands tucked away. Poor pensioners will still get it. Why should taxpayers money go to the wealthy. I’d rather it was spent on the NHS instead.

If this government takes winter fuel payments off pensioners & gives it to Gerry Adam’s they are as lost as lost can be!
