I’m seeing a worrying number of people putting the idea of robots down, but over the last few weeks the number of farms I have spoken to that are desperate for staff is alarming, if the staff aren’t there how will robotics put them out of work?

@Eastsufprod @bencm305 @SpudSlingsby @FarmerAndyH @OOOfarmer @loosecollie @_falky @HomeFarmNacton The Robotti is more flexible due to having a 3 point linkage, spools & PTO powered by Diesel. Whereas the farm droid is purely a precision drill / inter row weeder. Both have there place and are used in our Organic cropping systems.

@bencm305 @SpudSlingsby @FarmerAndyH @OOOfarmer @loosecollie @_falky @JCunningham94_ @HomeFarmNacton So @JCunningham94_ and @HomeFarmNacton are better placed to answer the question but our observation is there is huge potential for precision operations that are generally slow and labour intensive. They do however require supervision/problem solving and are not perfect (yet).
