Agriculture students from Edinburgh and Barony recently learnt about hill grazing, grass management, and sustainable practices at SRUC's Kirkton Hill and Mountain Research Centre facility. The Edinburgh students were also gifted with a livestock breeding lesson on EBV's for tups.

The importance of peatlands & their role in combating climate change. Peatlands are unique - they have high organic matter which stores a lot of carbon, but they also hold an amazing array of biodiversity, & if managed properly can also mitigate flooding. youtu.be/sRppImEZVqE
