Today, Johnson Elementary became the 1st school in Northern Kentucky and 27th KY to be a U. S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School! Our efforts in environmental education, sustainabily, health and wellness, and safety are considered top in the nation!

Send them to JES and we can recycle them with the Cincinnati recycle and reuse hub. Our collection bin for hard to recycle plastics can be found in our school lobby!

Our JES 5th graders are truly amazing! They raised over $1,500 to help a community in South Sudan build a well to have better access to clean drinking water. Tonight, there efforts were honored by our FTIS school board. Our future is bright!

4 weeks of school wide recycling and we saved over 3,000 gallons of recyclables from the landfill! Not everything can be recycled curbside by Rumpke, so we partnered with the Cincinnati Recycle Reuse Hub. Check how much we saved in just 4 weeks!

We did it!! Today, JES officially started our cafeteria recycling program! A special thanks to our friend Hannah from Rumpke and our partnership with the Cincinnati Recycle and Reuse Hub. In just one day, we reduced our solid waste by 151 gallons!
