After what we’ve seen this weekend, simply requesting that Bostonians practice social distancing is not going to be enough to stop the spread of the #Coronavirus. Boston needs to enact the following steps immediately: 1) Close, or severely limit, access to bars and restaurants,

@marty_walsh Mayor Walsh- This plan will bankrupt most restaurants. They can't afford to work at 1/2 capacity and still pay their bills. These businesses are desperately trying to stay open to manage cash and keep staff. What they need is to be able to defer payments and small grants!

Effective immediately until further notice, restaurants, bar rooms and nightclubs are required to reduce capacity by 50%, remove tables and chairs to reflect that reduced capacity, follow the guidelines around social distancing and no lines outside.
