I am a law and order conservative with Libertarian leanings, nominally a Republican. From a pioneer family with old time traditional values.

One more thing. The current makeup of the Democratic party leadership has alienated so many faithful that they no longer have a place. Estimates are that the spurned moderates will meld with the disenfranchised conservatives of the Republican Party to form a new movement. We see it happening with Telsi Gappert and many others. I, a law and order, nominal Republican can believe in it. I spent my adult life trying to protect the innocent just like I believe Trump wants. THAT gets me up in the morning.

Recently, a Boise Idaho Dr and family are packing up and beating feet. Anywhere but Idaho the story says. It has something to do their kid who is a male dressing like a girl but will no longer allowed to use the women’s restrooms. It’s too much they said. We Idahoans don’t make room for people like their son who prefers the name “Eve”. Yep. That’s us. Born male, stay male. Don’t go near our daughter’s private spaces pal. Just don’t. It’s best you move along. I hear California is nice this time of year.,

The Pope isn’t a politician, he’s a shepherd. Calling for peace isn’t “getting political,” it’s literally the Gospel. “Blessed are the peacemakers” If you think Pope Leo should stay out of matters of war and human suffering, you’re starting from the wrong premise.

@RepJeffries Yeah. Orban got beat by a conservative. Pope what’s his name actually is a Democrat. And Iran choked when Trump said he was going to blockade the religious nut jobs from selling oil. Everyone else is fine. So tell me again how bad Trump got played?

JD Vance is being roasted throughout the world. 1. The peace agreement he tried to negotiate with Iran collapsed. 2. His candidate Viktor Orbán got crushed in Hungary. 3. Pope Leo is righteously spanking the Trump administration. Really bad week for this guy and the extremists.

Thanks to a large-scale computer model, NASA scientists have pinpointed the exact year of the End of the World. According to their calculations, the last day on Earth will occur in 1,000,002,021. That's when "deoxygenation"—an inevitable consequence of increased solar flux and atmospheric destruction—will reach its peak (in other words, the Sun will burn our planet to ashes). So humanity still has at least a billion years to choose a new habitat.

Good chapels make good neighbors. In my mother-in-laws stake (several congregations, often 6-8, grouped under a president) in St George Utah, they donated a vacant church building site, valued at about $150,000, to an Evangelical congregation looking to build a new bigger building. Free gratis. And dollars to donuts they even did some volunteer labor too.

Shannon 🇺🇸I stand with America
I read this morning and I haven’t verified this - that the LDS church is giving 25,000 dollars towards every mosque built in Utah. Why would a religion give up their hard working tithing members money to a very foreign religion? Their new prophet was a state SCOTUS. Continued 👇🏽

Catholics wrote the New Testament by the grace of God. Jesus and His Apostles are Catholic, except Judas. He became an early Protestant. Our Catholic Forefathers wrote the Old Testament.

Correction: Without THE JEWS, there literally is no Bible. “What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? Much in every way! First of all, the Jews have been ENTRUSTED WITH THE VERY WORDS OF GOD.” — Romans 3:1-2 (by Paul, a Jew)

I can’t say but when you consider that prophets are ordinary people, it makes sense that sometimes someone made a mistake. Consider this- every person called to a job in the church is entitled to prophecy as it pertains to their stewardship. Prophecy is just another type of God speaking to us. Some folks can put a sharper point on it but the point remains the same. God tells us all what we want to know if we are sincere and have prepared for personal communication with Him. That is what prayer is. Us asking and God answering. That is all prophecy is except God talks and the person listens. It is a bit more than that but for conversation sake, that pretty much is it. It is inspiration with a booster.

As always, there are some up and comers who want to claim I’m making something up, so here’s the original source for the prophecy that shows the Book of Mormon has been false, straight from the mouth of their apostle Parley P. Pratt in 1838. Of course, it could just be that Parley wasn’t a prophet… Pick your poison. archive.org/details/mormon…

Yes. But people claiming prophecy don’t always understand what they were told. Prophecy is a one-way street. The prophet has no say in it. He repeats the message after having taken time to be sure he got it right. That is why The Church of Jesus Christ votes on prophecy. ALWAYS! The prophet speaks but the membership’s job is to tell him if he got it right. ALWAYS! The Presidents of the Church tell stories of members contradicting what the leadership says only for the leader to ask the member to reconsider which he does. Then both agree the leadership missed something that the member picked up on. The leader then makes the correction. True story. That is why, during General Conference, members are asked to vote in support of this, that, or something by the showing of the raised right hand and the allowance for objectors to have their say by contacting stake presidents. It would seem that there exists some exceptions. There is more to prophecy, personal as well as public, that we do not understand completely.

Maybe I'm missing something. The point of Prophecy is that we aren't guessing. For example, when Agabus told Paul that if he went to Jerusalem, he would leave in chains. Paul was able to go knowing the outcome, and went anyway. Or when David asked "Shall I pursue the Philistines?" and the High Priest drew out the white stone - "Yes, you shall surely go, and defeat them." Prophecy is not a wishy-washy re-interpretation kind of thing. It's not a matter of how you see it. It means something.

🚨 WOMAN LEAVES CHURCH AFTER THEY ASKED FOR HER W2 TO VERIFY TITHING — AND PEOPLE SAY THIS CROSSES A LINE She says it started like any normal first visit. They welcomed her, gave her a small gift, made it feel warm and inviting. Then they told first-time visitors to meet in the back if they wanted to join. That’s when everything changed. She claims they asked for her W2 to verify she was giving the full 10%. Not a suggestion. Not an honor system. Verification. She says growing up, churches talked about tithing, but no one was checking your income or tracking what you gave. Now she’s hearing stories of pastors following up with people directly…asking why they haven’t been giving. And at the same time? Mega church leaders living in multi-million dollar homes, driving luxury cars, flying private. Her reaction: “I think you’re good… I don’t think you need my W2.” People in the comments are saying this isn’t uncommon. Is this faith, or is this something else entirely?

@JLF9999 @ldsabuse Okay... And if I am serious, and pray about whether this is a prophecy, and am told "No," but you do likewise and feel you were told "Yes," how do you or I know which answer is correct?

@VbcApologetics @ldsabuse Exactly! How do we know? Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given you”. He said in his Sermon on the Mount. If you are serious and an answer will impact your life and you are serious, then you will be given an answer….. if you are serious, it helps more.

@JLF9999 @ldsabuse Pratt, in the cited passage expressly said, "This is prophecy." Not, "This is my interpretation." How are we to know true prophecy given future reinterpretations?
