Games of football are played every few days these days which means landscapes can change very quickly and so can thoughts. I have a feeling ,and it’s only a feeling , if we get smashed by PSG there could be a change before end of season. @WilcoFtbl Alonso will have a lot to learn if he was our manager, he'd have never managed against all the low blocks etc he'd face in the PL. His football worked fine in Germany because it's a far more open league. Don't think it'll go as smoothly as some seem to think.

@terryflewers PL football was easier then, the gap between the top and bottom half of the table was huge. The top 6 and the rest even.

Seeing greats like Salah, De Bruyne, and Gerrard slow down in their early/mid 30s just highlights how special Giggs and Scholes were. Performing at an elite level at 38 & 40, winning leagues, controlling games… that’s a different standard altogether.

@GrizzKhan Exactly, the manager may ultimately not be good enough but some of these players are way past it. Not going to win many games when you're relying week in, week out on declining players to win them for you.

I’ll say it for the last time this season. We have to learn from the end of Fergie’s time at Utd and Wengers at Arsenal where not enough tough calls were made to halt the fall off. There needs to be some very very difficult calls and I’m not talking about the coach which should be the easiest of the lot. I’m talking of moving on Alisson , Vvd , Robbo , Macca and of course Salah. All absolute legends of the club and we thank them all for making us good again but all of them have seen better days and need to go . That’s not disrespect , that’s just life. The worrying part at this stage is I dont see any leaders in current batch. We need to have a major reset on and off the pitch I feel and I fear we may need another season of transition. I won’t blame it on him. However, ultimately it stems from him. Salah & Slot’s disagreement split this club and ever since it’s been a battle to put back together. He’s not helped himself, the players have given up with him and pathetically given up with playing for this club in that period.
