Words can’t describe & so saddened in hearing of the passing of #BudHarrelson. A great teammate & friend & a huge part of the “Miracle” in #1969. His fight against Alzheimer’s is so inspirational. A true icon in #NYMets history. Prayers to his family & loved ones. RIP Buddy!

As a graduate of Hillcrest High School, it both angers me and breaks my heart to see young people using violence to try to silence those who stand with Israel. As a Mom, I worry about my sons' future if we ever accept a nation where bullies decide what others may or may not say.

The Israel Heritage Foundation (IHF) has sent Executive Director Rabbi David Katz to visit Israel. Rabbi Katz is meeting Congressman Derrick Van Orden (R-WI), retired United States Navy SEAL & current U.S. representative for Wisconsin. Tonight, Rabbi Katz met at the Western Wall with Dr. Daniel Glass, MD, a critical care medicine specialist from Savannah, GA who came to help soldiers in the north in need of medical assistance.

"I got a letter threatening me. It said if I showed against the Red Sox I'd be shot. Turned letter over to FBI & Stengel. You know what Casey did? Gave me a different uniform, gave mine to Billy Martin. Guess Casey thought it'd be better if Billy got shot." Phil Rizzuto

It’s been amazing this week to watch the left invert every rhetorical device they’ve used since 2020, all to avoid having to criticize terrorists dedicated to Jewish genocide. It would be hilarious, if it weren’t so reprehensible. 2020: Silence is violence. 2023: People can’t be expected to comment on every situation. It’s okay to just keep silent, especially while events are still unfolding. ———————— 2020: If you’re nitpicking small details instead of focusing on the big picture, you’re doing so to avoid your complicity in atrocities. 2023: 40 babies weren’t actually beheaded. 40 babies may have been killed, and some of them may have been beheaded, but that’s not the same as 40 getting beheaded. Details matter. ———————— 2020: Universities must proactively take a stand and speak out in opposition to racism. “Academic freedom” is a false concept used to enforce oppression. 2023: Universities need to maintain neutrality and ensure that they do not make any statements that jeopardize the principle of academic freedom, which is a paramount virtue in the realm of scholarship. ———————— 2020: You must immediately and forcefully condemn an attack, even if investigations are ongoing. 2023: You can’t expect us to release statements opposing an attack within four days, when the facts are still being discovered. Israel hasn’t even allowed UN investigators at the scenes of these “alleged massacres.” ———————— 2020: People are responsible for their words, even if they are just working-class teenagers in small towns. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences. 2023: Graduate students at the most prestigious university in the world are just kids and cannot be held accountable for statements they sign. This is cancel culture. ———————— 2020: Believe all women. 2023: Where is the physical evidence of these “alleged rapes”? ———————— 2020: It’s not enough to be non-racist. If you are not actively anti-racist, it means that you are, in fact, racist. 2023: How dare you question whether I support terrorists just because I haven’t actively spoken out against Hamas freedom fighters. ———————— 2020: We don’t get to tell people in affected communities how to deal with their pain in the aftermath of violence. 2023: It is Israel’s responsibility to ensure that violence doesn’t escalate. ———————— 2020: Anything that disproportionately affects one group of people is oppression and must be condemned. 2023: Settlers—a term that includes all Israeli Jews—are not civilians and are therefore all valid targets for attacks.

Bill Ackman

Some advice for students: If an organization of which you are a member puts out a public statement you disagree with, you have a few choices. You can: Stay silent and have the entire world conclude that you stand by the statement. Convince the other members of the group to withdraw or otherwise modify the statement so that it can reflect the views of all members. Or you can resign in protest. Claiming that you had no involvement or knowledge of the statement, but remaining a member of the organization without it withdrawing the statement is perhaps the worst of the alternatives, as it appears to simply be an attempt to avoid accountability while continuing to be a member of the organization. If you were managing a business, would you hire someone who blamed the despicable violent acts of a terrorist group on the victims? I don’t think so. Would you hire someone who was a member of a school club who issued a statement blaming lynchings by the KKK on their victims? I don’t think so. Would you want them to be an associate at your law firm? Of course not. It is not harassment to seek to understand the character of the candidates that you are considering for employment. In fact, as CEO, it is your obligation to do so on behalf of all of the other employees in your company, the clients and customers it serves, and all of your other stakeholders. I have heard that the above inquiry has made some members of the groups which put out the statement feel ‘unsafe,’ a word that is sadly overused in universities today. Ask yourself how unsafe it would feel in Israel beginning Saturday early morning and how unsafe it feels now? Ask yourself how unsafe your Jewish classmates feel when 32 clubs published a statement assigning sole responsibility for the heinous, deathly acts of terrorists to Israel and the Jews? Experience is making mistakes and learning from them. If you have made a mistake, acknowledge it, and immediately correct your mistaken actions. Public statements made by organizations of which you are a member can have a material negative impact on your reputation. I have learned from experience that the best time to fix a mistake is now.
