On Friday, I finally defended my PhD on the identities and emotions of the Simpsons. Had a great discussion with @mrooduijn, an expert in this field!! Big thanks to my advisors *Maria Solevid* and @JacobSohlberg and everyone else involved. Friday and this PhD was so much fun!

@Swallman4 @mewes_jan Yes, that could obviously be one of the negative consequences. To give voice to residents of European banlieues is one of the main goals. It is just such an absurd situation.

Feeling nostalgic about something? It's not warm and fuzzy childhood memories that make you vote for the radical right. Longing for a past, golden era of society does, however.

@SaskiaBrech Fulbright alumni here. The scholarship is great in many ways, but it sure made staying in the US almost impossible. After being denied an exception to the 2-year rule, my American wife and I moved to Sweden. Happy now, but lots of hardship could’ve been avoided.
