From April 2026, the UK government is slashing Universal Credit's health element for new claimants with disabilities/illnesses from £429.80 to just £217.26 a month. That's over £2,500 a year ripped away from people too sick to work - while the government calls it "fixing perverse incentives." Existing claimants are protected. New ones? Punished for getting ill after the deadline. This creates a cruel two-tier system for disabled people. Poverty isn't a work incentive. It's cruelty. This Römhildt of Weimar upright piano is about to be sawn up and recycled simply because it is old and commercially risky for dealers. It was fully rebuilt, restrung, and repinned in the late 1980s by a professional London piano restorer.
